I am preparing for a presentation to Maine Principal's Association on Personal Learning Networks in November. Cheryl Oakes is co-presenting with me (many of you know her).
We are planning on having an existing "Network" for demonstration as well as some synchronous work (through TokBox) with Principals around the US involved in PLNs.
What should we include? If you are an administrator, what do you find valuable?
If you are a teacher, what do you wish your Principals knew about PLNs?

Good luck on the presentation. I wanted to put in a proposal but ACTEM business already has me out of the classroom enough this year.

I wished principals knew that PLNs provides a 24/7 on-demand environment for professional growth. The return on the investment is very high and I definitely feel I've grown more in the last couple of years because of my work from/within my PLN than I have through district activities.

I hope this gets the ball rolling.

Good luck with your PD with principals. I would be sure to discuss two things:
How principals can share pertinent links/resources/advice/strategies via a networking.
Show how teachers can engage students through social networking that can be both rigorous and interesting.
